Designed to support individuals, volunteers and business representatives, the variety and scope of activities on offer aim to help develop your potential, share best practice, improve skills, knowledge and confidence. If you are struggling to manage your weight, the award winning My Weight Matters popular programme can help steer you on the right path to weight loss. No fad diets, the programme follows NHS guidance and offers individual support to keep you on track to your desired weight loss. Drop-in, get weighed and update your information pack.

Flash Parenting

This group course is ideal for parents/carers of a young person who is exhibiting self-harming behaviour. It aims to create better communication and personal relationships.

Flash is a course for parents to learn practical skills, over 10 weekly sessions.

This engaging course delivers useful and informative information:

  • Explanation of self-harming and how to relate to it
  • Demonstration of the developmental processes
  • Practical strategies and management of
  • Improving listening, praise and encouragement skills
  • Setting realistic expectations of parents/carer

CAVS Computer Training

Places for the FREE computer training must be booked in advance. Personal laptops or tablets can be brought and used. Use of office computers is also available for the session.

This is an online course in partnership with ‘Learn My Way’, covering subjects such as the internet, using online banking, accessing online healthcare and public services, understanding and using social media, job searching and applying for jobs online.
